(House Bill 446)
AN ACT concerning
Rental Housing Production Program - Office or Other Commercial Space
FOR the purpose of altering the definition of "office and other commercial space" as it
is used in the Rental Housing Production Program to include a certain type of
building; making stylistic changes; and generally relating to the Rental Housing
Production Program.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 83B - Department of Housing and Community Development
2-501.
(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated,
(h) "Office and other commercial space" means [buildings] A BUILDING:
(1) Constructed more than 30 years before an application is submitted to
the Department to finance the conversion of the building to rental housing units;
(2) Consisting of two or more floors at or above ground level; and
(3) (I) [Which was built] BUILT for the primary purpose of being used
for office or other commercial space and was last LAST used as office or other
commercial space; OR
