SECTION 8. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the provisions of this
Act are intended solely to correct technical errors in the law and that there is no
intent to revive or otherwise affect law that is the subject of other acts, whether those
acts were signed by the Governor prior to or after the signing of this Act. SECTION 9. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That any reference in the
Annotated Code of Maryland rendered obsolete by an Act of the General Assembly of
2002 shall be corrected by the publisher of the Annotated Code, in consultation with
and subject to the approval of the Department of Legislative Services, with no further
action required by the General Assembly. The publisher shall adequately describe any
such correction in an editor's note following the section affected. SECTION 10. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the publisher of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, in consultation with and subject to the approval of the
Department of Legislative Services, at the time of publication of a replacement
volume of the Annotated Code, shall make nonsubstantive corrections to style,
capitalization, punctuation, grammar, spelling, and any reference rendered obsolete
by an Act of the General Assembly, with no further action required by the General
Assembly. SECTION 11. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 3 of this Act
shall take effect on the taking effect of the termination provisions specified in Section
3 of Chapter 733 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2001. If these termination
provisions take effect, Sections 22-406(b)(4) and 23-407(b)(4) of Article - State
Personnel and Pensions as enacted by Section 1 of this Act shall be abrogated and of
no further force and effect. This Act may not be interpreted to have any effect on those
termination provisions. SECTION 12. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an
emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health
or safety, has been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take
effect from the date it is enacted. Approved April 9, 2002.

(Senate Bill 328) AN ACT concerning Montgomery County - Silver Spring Innovation Center Loan of 2000 FOR the purpose of altering the date by which the grantee is required to provide a
matching fund, pursuant to Chapter 624 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
2000, Montgomery County - Silver Spring Innovation Center Loan of 2000, from
June 1, 2002 to June 1, 2004; and generally relating to the Montgomery County
- Silver Spring Innovation Center Loan of 2000.
