(ii) The parent committed any act prohibited under [Article 27, §
35C, § 335, § 462, § 463, § 464, § 464A, § 464B, or § 464C of the Code] §§ 3-303
THROUGH 3-308, § 3-321, OR § 3-601 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE; (2) The other parent of the child is the victim of the crime or act
described under item (1) of this section; and (3) The other parent of the child is a child of the parent. Article - Family Law 4- 501. (b) (1) "Abuse" means any of the following acts: (iv) rape or sexual offense [as defined by Article 27, §§ 462 through
464C of the Code] UNDER §§ 3-303 THROUGH 3-308 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE
or attempted rape or sexual offense in any degree; or 5- 312. (b) Without the consent of the child's natural parent, a court may grant a
decree of adoption to a stepparent, relative, or other individual who has exercised
physical care, custody, or control of a child for at least 6 months, if by clear and
convincing evidence the court finds that: (4) the natural parent:
(iv) has: 2. been convicted: A. in this State of a crime of violence, as defined in [Article
27, § 643B of the Code] § 14-101 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE, against the child,
the other natural parent of the child, another child of the natural parent, or any
person who resides in the household of the natural parent; B. in any state or in any court of the United States of a crime
that would be a crime of violence, as defined in [Article 27, § 643B of the Code] §
14-101 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE, if committed in this State against the child,
the other natural parent of the child, another child of the natural parent, or any
person who resides in the household of the natural parent; or C. of aiding or abetting, conspiring, or soliciting to commit a
crime described in item A or B of this item; or 5-313. (d) (1) In determining whether it is in the best interest of the child to
terminate a natural parent's rights as to the child in a case involving a child who has
been adjudicated to be a child in need of assistance, a neglected child, an abused child,
or a dependent child, the court shall consider the factors in subsection (c) of this
section and whether any of the following continuing or serious conditions or acts exist:
