Ch. 19 2002 LAWS OF MARYLAND
Article - Education 3-108.1. (j) (2) The terms of the voting members are staggered as required by the
terms provided for members of the Board on [the effective date of this Act] JUNE 1,
1997. DRAFTER'S NOTE: Error: Erroneous language in § 3-108.1(j)(2) of the Education Article.
Occurred: Ch. 105, Acts of 1997. 3-109. (d) If the boundary line of a [legislative] COUNCILMANIC district is changed,
the term of an incumbent member of the County Board who no longer resides in the
[legislative] COUNCILMANIC district because of the change is not affected during this
term. DRAFTER'S NOTE: Error: Obsolete reference in § 3-109(d) of the Education Article.
Occurred: As a result of Ch. 708, Acts of 1994. 16-414.1. (a) (16) "Supervisory employee" means a public employee who has the
authority to act on behalf of the public employer to: (i) Hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge,
assign, reward, or discipline other employees; (ii) Direct employees responsibly; (iii) Adjust employee grievances; or (iv) Recommend effectively one of the actions set forth in items (i)
through (iii) of this paragraph, if: 1. The exercise of this authority is not merely of a routine or clerical nature; and 2. Requires the exercise of independent judgment.
DRAFTER'S NOTE: Error: Stylistic errors in § 16-414.1(a)(16)(iv) of the Education Article. Occurred: Ch. 539, Acts of 2001. Correction by the publisher of the
Annotated Code in the 2001 Supplement of the Education Article and
printed in the 2001 Replacement Volume is validated by this Act.
