[(a)] The court shall try cases under this subtitle without a jury.
[(b) While sitting as the juvenile court, the District Court in Montgomery
County shall follow the applicable rules of a circuit court sitting as the juvenile court.
(c) For purposes of Title 12 of this article, an action, decision, order, or
judgment of the District Court in Montgomery County sitting as a juvenile court shall
be treated in the same manner as if it had been made, done, or entered by a circuit
court.]

(c) (2) (ii) Unless extended on good cause shown, a shelter care hearing
shall be held not later than the next day on which the circuit court [sits or, in

a life-sustaining procedure, as defined in § 13-711(c) of the Estates and [Trust]
TRUSTS Article.
