the General Assembly of 2001, Prince George's County - Southern Maryland
Youth Camp Loan of 2001; and generally relating to the Prince George's County
- Southern Maryland Youth Camp Loan of 2001. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Chapter 651 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2001
Section 1(3) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Chapter 651 of the Acts of 2001 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That: (3) The cash proceeds of the sale of the bonds shall be paid to the Treasurer
and first shall be applied to the payment of the expenses of issuing, selling, and
delivering the bonds, unless funds for this purpose are otherwise provided, and then
shall be credited on the books of the Comptroller and expended, on approval by the
Board of Public Works, for the following public purposes, including any applicable
architects' and engineers' fees: as a grant to the Board of Directors of the Southern
Maryland Youth Camp, Inc. (referred to hereafter in this Act as "the grantee") for the
planning, design, [and] construction [of], and [for the provision of] capital
[equipment] EQUIPPING [for, four cabins, for the planning, design, and construction]
of AN ADDITION TO THE MAIN BUILDING FOR DRY FOOD STORAGE AND A WALK-IN
FREEZER AND COOLER, FOR THE COMPLETION OF an access road and a parking lot,
for renovations to make the main hall accessible to the handicapped, for site lighting
and security devices, and for the stabilization of specific environmental areas, at the
Southern Maryland Youth Camp, located in Cheltenham, Maryland. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER. ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 2002. Approved April 9, 2002.
CHAPTER 64
(House Bill 409) AN ACT concerning Cecil County - Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Companies - Maintenance and Operations Appropriations FOR the purpose of altering the tax rate in Cecil County on certain assessable
property to reflect a change in the statewide tax assessment ratios; providing for
the distribution of certain moneys for ambulance services to certain additional
fire companies; altering the amount of money allocated to support certain
ambulance services; providing for the application of this Act; and generally
