(iv) Advise the Board on the thoughts and feelings of THE students.
(2) Unless invited to attend by an affirmative vote of a majority of the
County Board, the student may not attend an executive session.
(i) The terms of the members of the County Board who take office on January
1, 1997 shall expire as follows:
(1) The members elected from each of the county commissioner districts
in 2000; and
(2) The members elected from the county at large in 2002.
3-303.
(a) At its first meeting at the beginning of each calendar year, the County
Board shall elect a president and a vice president from among its members.
(b) The president of the County Board is entitled to receive [$3,000] $5,000
annually as compensation and the other members are entitled to receive [$2,000]
$4,000 each annually as compensation.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the president and members of the Calvert
County Board of Education in office on the effective date of this Act, but the
provisions of this Act concerning the salary or compensation of the president and
members of the Calvert County Board of Education shall take effect at the beginning
of the next following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2002.

AN ACT concerning
State Open Meetings Law Compliance Board - Duties
FOR the purpose of repealing a certain provision concerning the date by which the
State Open Meetings Law Compliance Board shall conduct certain educational
programs; altering the date by which the Board shall submit an annual report;
repealing a certain provision concerning the contents of the annual report of the
Board; and generally relating to the duties of the State Open Meetings Law
Compliance Board.
