Ch. 17 2003 LAWS OF MARYLAND 5-203. (a) A person may not possess a short-barreled rifle or short-barreled shotgun (1) the person, while on official business is: (i) a member of the law enforcement personnel of the federal (ii) a member of the armed forces of the United States or the (iii) a member of the law enforcement personnel of another state or (iv) a warden or correctional officer of a correctional facility in the (v) a sheriff or a temporary or full-time deputy sheriff; [and] OR (2) the short-barreled shotgun or short-barreled rifle has been 11-116. (a) (2) Paragraph (1) of this subsection does not apply to a person who (i) Title 3, [Subtitle 3] SUBTITLE 1 or Subtitle 5, Title 5, Subtitle 1, (x) § 8-713.1, § 8-724.1, § 8-725.5, § 8-725.6, § 8-726.1, § 8-738.1, (xv) § 4-103 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Carroll County; OR (xvi) § 8A-1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Talbot County[; or (xvii) former Art. 27, §§ 268B, 268C, and 268D].
