2-205. RULES.

(A)     POWER OF SECRETARY TO ADOPT.

THE SECRETARY MAY ADOPT RULES NECESSARY TO:

(1)      PROMOTE THE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT PERFORMANCE OF THE
DUTIES OF THE DEPARTMENT; AND

(2)      ENSURE THE GOOD GOVERNMENT OF THE DEPARTMENT AND ITS
EMPLOYEES.

(B)     CHANGES TO RULES.

THE SECRETARY MAY SUSPEND, AMEND, RESCIND, ABROGATE, OR CANCEL ANY
RULE ADOPTED BY THE SECRETARY OR ANY FORMER SECRETARY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 88B, § 15(a) and (b)(14).

2-206. COUNSEL TO DEPARTMENT.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL SHALL REPRESENT THE DEPARTMENT.

The only changes are in style.

See generally SG § 6-106, which provides that the Attorney General
generally "is the [sole] legal adviser [for] ... each ... unit of the State
government".
