2003 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(II) THE STATEMENT SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A FILING FEE
OF:

1.       $5 PER PRESSURE VESSEL, FOR A STATEMENT THAT
COVERS NOT MORE THAN 25 PRESSURE VESSELS;

2.       $125, FOR A STATEMENT THAT COVERS MORE THAN 25
BUT LESS THAN 101 PRESSURE VESSELS;

3.       $250, FOR A STATEMENT THAT COVERS MORE THAN 100

4.       $325, FOR A STATEMENT THAT COVERS MORE THAN 500

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 48, § 177(a) and (b).

In subsection (a)(1) of this section, the reference to an "authorized insurer"
is substituted for the former reference to "each company" employing a
special inspector for accuracy. See § 12-907(a) of this subtitle.
Consequently, in subsection (a)(3) and (4) of this section, the references to
the "authorized insurer" are added.

Also in subsection (a)(1) of this section, the former phrase "[e]xcept for a
company operating pressure vessels covered by an owner-user inspection
service meeting the requirements of this subtitle" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the revision of this subsection, which only applies to
authorized insurers.

In subsection (b)(1) and (3) of this section, the reference to a "person" that
operates pressure vessels is substituted for the former reference to a
"company" for consistency with § 12-907(a) of this subtitle.

In subsection (b)(1) of this section, the reference to an "owner-user"
inspection service is substituted for the former reference to an "owner or
user" inspection service for clarity and consistency throughout this
subtitle.

In subsection (b)(3)(i)1 of this section, the reference to a "professional"
engineer is added for clarity.

Defined terms: "Boiler" § 12-901

"Certificate inspection" § 12-901
"Person" § 1-101
"Pressure vessel" § 12-901

12-911. SAME — CERTIFICATES.

(A) ISSUANCE.

IF THE REPORT FILED IN ACCORDANCE WITH § 12-910(A) OF THIS SUBTITLE
SHOWS THAT A BOILER OR PRESSURE VESSEL COMPLIES WITH REGULATIONS
