"CERTIFICATE INSPECTION" MEANS AN INSPECTION, THE REPORT OF WHICH IS
USED BY THE CHIEF BOILER INSPECTOR TO DETERMINE WHETHER TO ISSUE A
CERTIFICATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without
substantive change from the first sentence of former Art. 48, § 168(c).

The former phrase "or not" is deleted as surplusage.

Defined term: "Certificate" § 12-901

(F)     COMMISSIONER

"COMMISSIONER" MEANS THE COMMISSIONER OF LABOR AND INDUSTRY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to avoid repetition
of the full title of the "Commissioner of Labor and Industry".

(G)     HEATING BOILER

"HEATING BOILER" MEANS:

(1) STEAM BOILER THAT OPERATES AT PRESSURES NOT EXCEEDING
15 PSIG; OR

(2) A HOT WATER BOILER THAT OPERATES AT PRESSURES NOT
EXCEEDING 160 PSIG OR TEMPERATURES NOT EXCEEDING 250 DEGREES
FAHRENHEIT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly was Art. 48, § 168(a)(3).

The only changes are in style.

Defined term: "Boiler" § 12-901

(H) HIGH PRESSURE, HIGH TEMPERATURE WATER BOILER

"HIGH PRESSURE, HIGH TEMPERATURE WATER BOILER" MEANS A WATER
BOILER THAT OPERATES AT PRESSURES EXCEEDING 160 PSIG OR TEMPERATURES
EXCEEDING 250 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly was Art. 48, § 168(a)(2).

The only changes are in style.

Defined term: "Boiler" § 12-901

(I) POWER BOILER

"POWER BOILER" MEANS A BOILER IN WHICH STEAM OR OTHER VAPOR IS
GENERATED AT A PRESSURE OF MORE THAN 15 PSIG.
