(2) AFTER NOTICE AND AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A HEARING, FAILURE OF
A COUNTY TO COMPLY WITH THIS SUBTITLE MAY RESULT IN THE FORFEITURE OF
THE ALLOCATED MONEY, IN WHOLE OR IN PART.

(B) REVERSION OF WITHHELD MONEY.

MONEY WITHHELD UNDER THIS SECTION REVERTS TO THE GENERAL FUND.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 38A, § 45D(e)(3).

The Public Safety Article Review Committee notes, for consideration by the
General Assembly, that subsection (b) of this section accurately reflects
former Art. 38A, § 45D(e)(3), which provided that failure of a county to
comply with this subtitle may result in forfeiture of the allocated money
and "reversion to the State General Fund". Money for the Amoss Fund,
however, comes from the Maryland Emergency Medical System Operations
Fund (MEMSOF). See SF § 7-121(b)(5) and TR § 13-955(d)(5).

8-201. DEFINITIONS.

(A)     IN GENERAL.
