ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor
H.B. 230
vetoed House Bill 230 - Health Occupations - Dental Hygienists - Supervised
Practice in a Private Dental Office.
This bill authorizes a dental hygienist who has a general license to practice under the
supervision of a licensed dentist who is not on the premises while the authorized
dental hygiene services are being performed. This legislation also permits a dental
hygienist with a general license to practice dental hygiene under the supervision of a
licensed dentist in a private dental office under specified conditions.
Senate Bill 225, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House
Bill 230.
Sincerely,
Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.
Governor
