SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an emergency
measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health or safety,
has been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect from
the date it is enacted.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed Senate Bill 769 - Baltimore City — Pimlico Road Arts and Community Center
Loan of 2001.

This bill alters the date by which the grantee is required to provide a matching fund,
from June 1, 2003, to June 1, 2005, pursuant to Chapter 411 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 2001.

House Bill 1016, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 769.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - Pimlico Road Arts and Community Center Loan of 2001

FOR the purpose of altering the date by which the grantee is required to provide a
matching fund, from June 1, 2003 to June 1, 2005 pursuant to Chapter 411 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 2001, Baltimore City - Pimlico Road Arts
and Community Center Loan of 2001; and generally relating to the Baltimore
City - Pimlico Road Arts and Community Center Loan of 2001.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 411 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2001
