In subsection (c)(2)(iii) of this section, the reference to "members" is
substituted for the former reference to "volunteers" for consistency with
terminology used throughout this section.

In subsection (c)(2)(viii) of this section, the former reference to "the citizens
of" Cecil County is deleted because the meaning in this context is unclear.

In subsection (d)(1), (2), and (3) of this section, the reference to a "member"
is substituted for the former reference to a "person" for clarity and
consistency with terminology used throughout this section.

7-210. CHARLES COUNTY.

IN CHARLES COUNTY, THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SHALL ADMINISTER THE
LENGTH OF SERVICE AWARD PROGRAM FOR MEMBERS OF VOLUNTEER FIRE
COMPANIES, RESCUE SQUADS, AND MOBILE INTENSIVE CARE UNITS, AS PROVIDED
IN §§ 54-8 THROUGH 54-11 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF CHARLES
COUNTY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 25, § 13A.

The reference to "members" of volunteer fire companies and rescue squads
is substituted for the former reference to volunteer "firemen" and rescue
"squadsmen" for consistency with terminology used throughout this
subtitle.

7-211. FREDERICK COUNTY.

(A)     AUTHORITY TO ENACT MONETARY SERVICE AWARD PLAN.

TO ENCOURAGE VOLUNTEER SERVICE IN FREDERICK COUNTY, THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FREDERICK COUNTY MAY ENACT A MONETARY
SERVICE AWARD PLAN BASED ON LENGTH OF SERVICE FOR MEMBERS OF
VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANIES IN FREDERICK COUNTY.

(B)     IMPLEMENTATION OF PLAN.

THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY IMPLEMENT THE PLAN BY
ENACTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS THAT RELATE TO THE PROVISIONS AND
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PLAN.
