S.B. 366

VETOES

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed Senate Bill 366 - Victims' Rights - Crime - Definition.

This bill alters the definition of crime in provisions relating to the authority of a court
to enter a judgment of restitution and the State Board of Victim Services.

House Bill 705, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 366.

Sincerely,

Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.

Governor

Senate Bill No. 366

FOR the purpose of altering the definition of crime in provisions relating to certain
costs required to be paid by defendants,
