CHAPTER 407
(House Bill 34)

AN ACT concerning

State Acupuncture Board - Sunset Extension and Program Evaluation -

Licensure Requirements

FOR the purpose of continuing the State Acupuncture Board in accordance with the
provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (Sunset Law) by extending
to a certain date the termination provisions relating to the statutory and
regulatory authority of the Board; requiring that an evaluation of the Board and
the statutes and regulations that relate to the Board be performed on or before
a certain date; altering certain licensure requirements to include the achievement
of a certain status; making, certain technical corrections;
making stylistic
changes; and generally relating to the State Acupuncture Board.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 1A-302 and 1A-502

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

1A-302.

(a)     To qualify for a license, an applicant shall be an individual who meets the
requirements of this section.

(b)     The applicant shall:

(1) Be of good moral character;
