SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2003.

AN ACT concerning

Land Use - Planning Commissions - Membership

FOR the purpose of altering the number of members that may be on planning
commissions created under a certain statutory law; making technical changes;
and generally relating to the membership of planning commissions.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 66B - Land Use
Section 3.02(a)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1998 Replacement Volume and 2002 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 66B - Land Use

3.02.

(a) (.1) Except as otherwise provided in this article, a planning commission
created under this subtitle shall consist of [either] THREE, [five or] FIVE, OR seven
members.

(2) One of the members may be a member of the local legislative body,
serving in an ex officio capacity concurrent with the member's official term.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2003.
