(House Bill 786)

AN ACT concerning

State Personnel - Department of Agriculture - Employees in Soil

Conservation Districts - Grants

FOR the purpose of authorizing a soil conservation district or a certain county to
supplement the salary of certain employees by making certain grants; and
generally relating to State employees and soil conservation districts.

Article - Agriculture

Section 8-312

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1999 Replacement Volume and 2002 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Agriculture

8-312.

A SOIL CONSERVATION DISTRICT OR A COUNTY IN WHICH A SOIL
CONSERVATION DISTRICT IS LOCATED MAY SUPPLEMENT THE SALARY OF AN
EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT WHO IS ASSIGNED TO WORK FOR A DISTRICT BY
PROVIDING A GRANT TO THE EMPLOYEE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2003.

AN ACT concerning

Intrastate Hazardous Liquid Pipelines - Operations and Reporting

FOR the purpose of requiring the Public Service Commission to include an engineer
with certain qualifications on its staff; requiring the Commission to establish
and adopt by regulation methods and best practices for intrastate hazardous
liquid pipeline facilities; requiring intrastate hazardous liquid pipeline
operators to report certain information to the Commission and the National
Response Center; requiring the Commission to report certain information to the
