SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 25 - County Commissioners

11A.

(H) NOTWITHSTANDING SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION, IN GARRETT
COUNTY, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY DISPOSE OF SURPLUS
SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT, OR OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE
COUNTY BY THE FOLLOWING MEANS:

(1)      PUBLIC AUCTION;

(2)      PUBLIC SALE; OR

(3)      TRADE-IN FOR NEW OR USED EQUIPMENT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2003.

AN ACT concerning

Code Counties - Western Maryland - Penalties for Violations of Rules and
Regulations Regarding Junkyards, Dumps, and Other Facilities

FOR the purpose of authorizing the county commissioners in a code county in western
Maryland to declare that violations of certain rules and regulations regarding
junkyards, dumps, and other similar facilities are civil infractions; and
generally relating to penalties for violations of rules and regulations regarding
junkyards, dumps, and other similar facilities in code counties in western
Maryland.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 25 - County Commissioners
Section 122A
