REVISOR'S NOTE TO SECTION:
Former Art. 41, § 4-201(a)(3), which defined the term "county" to mean
any county that has or will have a law enforcement unit within its
jurisdiction, is deleted as unnecessary. The term "county" as used in this
subtitle is used in the general sense in which it is defined in § 1-101 of this
article.
Former Art. 41, § 4-201(a)(5), which defined the term "municipality" to
mean any incorporated city of any class that has or will have a law
enforcement unit within its jurisdiction, is deleted as unnecessary. The
term "municipality" was used throughout the former law in the general
sense in which the term "municipal corporation" is generally used in
revised articles of the Code. Therefore, the term "municipal corporation" is
substituted for the former term "municipality" throughout this section and
this subtitle to conform to Md. Constitution, Art. XI-E.
