(c)      (1) [The] IF THE COMMISSIONER APPOINTS A PROPERTY AND
CASUALTY INSURANCE ADVISORY BOARD, THE Property and Casualty Insurance
Advisory Board [consists] SHALL CONSIST of at least eight members [appointed by
the Commissioner].

(2)     Each member of the Advisory Board shall be experienced in the
business of property insurance or casualty insurance.

(3)     The Advisory Board:

(i) may include insurance producers and employees or officers of
insurers; and

(ii) shall include at least two members who are insurance producers
with valid licenses issued in the State in that kind of insurance.

10-116.

(d)     The Commissioner [shall] MAY review all continuing education courses
submitted and approve or disapprove courses [after receiving the recommendation of
the appropriate advisory board appointed under § 10-110 of this subtitle].

(F) THIS SECTION DOES NOT LIMIT THE AUTHORITY OF THE COMMISSIONER
TO REVIEW, APPROVE, OR DISAPPROVE CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES,
EXAMINATIONS, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE EDUCATION AND
QUALIFICATION OF INSURANCE PRODUCERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows:

Article - Insurance

10-118.

[(a) (1) When an insurer doing business in the State makes or terminates an
appointment, the insurer immediately shall file notice of the appointment or
termination and the reasons for the termination in the manner specified by this
section.

(2) The applicable fee required by § 2-112 of this article shall be:

(i) included with the notice of appointment or termination; or

(ii) collected in the manner approved by the Commissioner.]

(A)     IN THIS SECTION, "PRODUCER REGISTER" MEANS A REGISTER OF
APPOINTED INSURANCE PRODUCERS WHO ARE AUTHORIZED TO SELL, SOLICIT, OR
NEGOTIATE CONTRACTS OF INSURANCE ON BEHALF OF AN INSURER

(B)     (1) AN INSURER AUTHORIZED TO TRANSACT THE BUSINESS OF
INSURANCE IN THE STATE SHALL MAINTAIN A PRODUCER REGISTER
