those things necessary and proper to place each this question on the ballot prepared
for the November general election of 2000, so that each participating voter in the
County may have the opportunity to cast a vote on each question "FOR" or "AGAINST"
a consolidated public high school in the county. Each question shall be proposed,
presented, tallied, and reported in general accordance with the provisions of Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The vote on each question is advisory only.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2000.

(Senate Bill 84)
AN ACT concerning
Kent County - Sheriff's Salary and Benefits
FOR the purpose of altering the salary of the Sheriff of Kent County for certain
calendar years; repealing certain authority of the Board of County
Commissioners of Kent County to establish a certain pension plan for the Kent
County Sheriff's department under a certain formula or certain amount and
applying to certain individuals under certain circumstances; providing that this
Act does not apply to the salary or compensation of the incumbent Sheriff of
Kent County; and generally relating to the salary of the Sheriff of Kent County.
