SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the members and Chairman of the Liquor
Control Board of Wicomico County in office on the effective date of this Act, but the
provisions of this Act concerning the salary or compensation of the members and
Chairman of the Liquor Control Board of Wicomico County shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000.

CHAPTER 182
(House Bill 1288)
AN ACT concerning
Wicomico County - Liquor Control Board - Borrowing Limit
FOR the purpose of increasing the amount of money that the Liquor Control Board of
Wicomico County may borrow to a certain amount; and generally relating to the
Liquor Control Board of Wicomico County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 15-202(b)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
15-202.
(b) (1) The liquor control board may borrow money from time to time from
any banking institution on its own credit.
(2) The aggregate sum advanced to or borrowed by the liquor control
board may not exceed the following amounts:
(i) Harford County — $75,000
(ii) Somerset County — $50,000
(iii) Wicomico County — [$25,000] $500,000
(iv) Worcester County — $1,000,000.
