AN ACT concerning
St. Mary's County - Alcoholic Beverages - Special Licenses
FOR the purpose of authorizing in St. Mary's County the Board of License
Commissioners to issue certain special alcoholic beverages licenses to certain
persons; specifying certain periods for which certain licenses may be issued;
specifying a certain license fee; authorizing a holder of a special license to
purchase certain alcoholic beverages from a retail dealer; repealing certain
provisions authorizing the issuance, time periods, and fees for certain special
licenses; and generally relating to special alcoholic beverages licenses in St.
Mary's County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
7-101.
(r) (1) This subsection applies only in St. Mary's County.
[(2) (i) The Treasurer may issue a special on-sale beer, wine and liquor
license to any bona fide religious, fraternal, civic, veterans', hospital or charitable
organization, subject to any conditions the Board of License Commissioners may
impose on the issuance of this license.
(ii) The license may be issued for a 1-day period.
(iii) The fee for each license is $10.
(3) (i) There is a special Class D (on-sale) beer license which may be
issued to any bona fide religious, fraternal, civic, veterans', hospital, or charitable
organization.
(ii) The license may be issued for a period not exceeding 10
consecutive days from its effective date.
(iii) The fee for each license is $10.
