(3) It shall be the responsibility of Howard County to pay to each
employee transferred under this section any compensation due to the employee on
termination of County employment as of June 30, 2000.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2000.

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of License Commissioners for Anne
Arundel County to hire up to a certain number of full-time administrators at a
certain salary pay grade; increasing to a certain amount the number of liquor
inspectors for the County; and generally relating to the Board of License

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(c) (1) This subsection applies only in Anne Arundel County. Except for
paragraph (2) of this subsection, it does not apply in the City of Annapolis.
(2) (i) This paragraph applies only in the City of Annapolis.
(ii) The Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of Annapolis may make
