SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Health - General
24-303.
(A) A BEAUTY SUPPLY OUTLET PERSON MAY NOT SELL, OFFER FOR SALE, OR
POSSESS METHYL METHACRYLATE LIQUID MONOMER FOR ANY COSMETIC USE TO A
BEAUTY SALON, AS DEFINED IN. 5-101 OF THE BUSINESS OCCUPATIONS AND
PROFESSIONS ARTICLE.
(B) A PERSON THAT VIOLATES ANY PROVISION OF THIS SECTION OR ANY
REGULATION ADOPTED BY THE SECRETARY UNDER THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $1,000
FOR EACH VIOLATION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000.
