AN ACT concerning
Howard County - Board of Education - Compensation
Ho. Co. 8-00
FOR the purpose of altering the compensation paid to the Chairman and members of
the Howard County Board of Education; and generally relating to the
compensation of the Howard County Board of Education.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Education
3-703.
(a) The Chairman of the County Board is entitled to receive [$11,000] $14,000
annually as compensation and the other members are entitled to receive [$9,900)
$12,000 each annually as compensation.
(b) The Chairman and the other members are entitled to the allowances for
travel and other expenses provided in the Howard County budget.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2000.
