2000 LAWS OF MARYLAND
Article - State Government 13-404. EACH YEAR, THE GOVERNOR SHALL ISSUE A PROCLAMATION ENCOURAGING
THE CITIZENS OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND, THE MEDIA, GOVERNMENT
DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES, AND BUSINESS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES TO
OBSERVE A MOMENT OF SILENCE AT 3 P.M. ON MEMORIAL DAY TO UNITE IN
REMEMBRANCE AND COMMEMORATE THE HEROIC ACTS AND EFFORTS OF
MARYLANDERS WHO HAVE SERVED AND DIED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMED
FORCES. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000. Approved April 25, 2000.
