Ch. 77
(1) Passes local laws which provide and constitute the terms of the
charter for this authority; and (2) Files the charter with: (i) The Department of Assessments and Taxation; (ii) The Department of Legislative Services; and (iii) The Secretary of State. (b) Each county shall have the power to: (1) Amend the authority's charter through local legislation if the
amendments are filed with the Department of Assessments and Taxation, State
Department of Legislative Services, and Secretary of the State; (2) Change the structure, organization, program, or activity of the
authority unless the change would impair the authority's obligation under a contract
the authority entered into before the change; and (3) Terminate the authority unless the termination would impair the
authority's obligation under a contract the authority entered into before the
termination. (c) If a parking authority was created before July 1, 1984, a county may ratify
the authority and all acts and contracts of the authority which were in accord with the
authority's charter and the law by filing the authority's charter with the departments
listed in subsection (a) of this section. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000. Approved April 25, 2000.
CHAPTER 77
(Senate Bill 549) AN ACT concerning Garrett County - Alcoholic Beverages - Caterer's License FOR the purpose of authorizing in Garrett County the Board of License
Commissioners to issue a caterer's (CAT) license to persons who meet certain
requirements; authorizing a license holder to keep for sale and sell or provide
off-sale alcoholic beverages during a catered event; prohibiting a license holder
from engaging in certain activities; setting certain requirements for the
issuance or renewal of a license; specifying the fees for a license; authorizing a
license holder to exercise certain privileges during certain times; requiring a
holder to meet certain purchasing and contractual requirements; setting certain
