(g) (viii) the feasibility of either assigning technology-related criminal
matters to a business and technology division or of establishing some alternative
means of providing particular courts or judges with appropriate, specific training to
deal with technology-related criminal matters.
(f) The Task Force shall issue a final report of its findings and
recommendations to the Court of Appeals, the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, the
President of the Senate of Maryland, the Speaker of the House of Delegates, the
House Judiciary Committee, the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee and, subject
to § 2-1246 of the State Government Article, to the General Assembly on or before
December 1. 2000.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000.

(House Bill 19)
AN ACT concerning
Maryland Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act
FOR the purpose of adopting the Maryland Uniform Computer Information
Transactions Act; specifying that provisions of certain consumer protection laws
apply to certain consumer contracts; specifying that provisions of law granting
jurisdiction over a person in a cause of action include certain computer
information and computer information transactions; establishing certain
provisions of law applicable to agreements to create, modify, transfer, or
distribute computer software, computer data and databases, Internet and online
information, and certain other computer information and products under certain
circumstances; establishing certain provisions of law applicable to licensing of
computer information under certain circumstances; establishing certain
provisions of law applicable to electronic commerce and commercial transactions
carried out electronically or over the Internet under certain circumstances,
authorizing parties to an agreement within the scope of this Act to expressly
agree that certain provisions of this Act do not apply to the agreement;
prohibiting parties to an agreement within the scope of this Act from agreeing
that certain provisions of this Act do not apply to the agreement; providing that
certain federal and State laws override the provisions of this Act; providing that
this Act overrides certain provisions of State law; establishing certain choice of
law and choice of forum provisions for legal disputes within the scope of this Act
