2000 LAWS OF MARYLAND
Department of Legislative Services, with no further action required by the General
Assembly. The publisher shall adequately describe any such correction in an editor's
note following the section affected. SECTION 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the publisher of the
Annotated Code of Maryland in consultation with and with approval of the
Department of Legislative Services, at the time of publication of a replacement
volume of any revised article of the Annotated Code, shall make nonsubstantive
corrections to style, capitalization, spelling, and any reference rendered obsolete by
an Act of the General Assembly, with no further action required by the General
Assembly. SECTION 8. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the change to Section
l-209(a) of the Health Occupations Article, as enacted by Section 1 of this Act shall
take effect June 1, 2000. SECTION 9. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, except as provided in
Section 8 of this Act, this Act is an emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety, has been passed by a yea and nay vote
supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, and shall take effect from the date it is enacted. Approved April 25, 2000.
CHAPTER 62
(Senate Bill 165) AN ACT concerning State Fire Marshal - Fireworks - Manufacture, Storage, and Packaging FOR the purpose of clarifying the scope of licenses to manufacture fireworks;
clarifying that the manufacture of certain fireworks is unlawful; clarifying the
locations where certain fireworks may be stored under certain circumstances;
authorizing the packaging and repackaging of certain fireworks in a certain
location under certain circumstances; altering certain definitions; providing for
the effective date of this Act; and. generally relating to the regulation of
fireworks by the State Fire Marshal. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
