SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1997. It shall remain effective for a period of 7 years, and, at the end of
May [30,] 31, 2004, and with no further action required by the General Assembly, this
Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect.

Chapter 150 of the Acts of 1999
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(3) The cash proceeds of the sale of the bonds shall be paid to the Treasurer
and first shall be applied to the payment of the expenses of issuing, selling, and
delivering the bonds, unless funds for this purpose are otherwise provided, and then
shall be credited on the books of the Comptroller and expended, on approval by the
Board of Public Works, for the following public purposes, including any applicable
architects' and engineers' fees: as a grant TO the Board of Directors of the
Constellation Foundation, Inc. (referred to hereafter in this Act as "the grantee") for
the design, repair, restoration, improvement, and preservation of the U.S.S.
Constellation.
