Bill No. 54-1999 AN ACT establishing a property tax credit for the cost of cleanup of qualified
brownfields sites in the county; establishing the duration of and the terms,
conditions, requirements, and eligibility for the tax credit; establishing a
different duration for the credit for brownfields sites located in enterprise zones;
establishing a tax abatement for overdue county property tax for brownfields
sites, under certain conditions; establishing the procedure for applying for a
credit or abatement; designating the county agencies responsible for
administering the credit and abatement; defining certain terms; and generally
relating to tax credits for the cost of cleanup of brownfields sites. [Section 20.117 of the Howard County Code - Added Effective Date April 16, 2000]
Bill No. 55-1999 AN ACT establishing a property tax credit for real property that is used as a
therapeutic riding facility to provide services to disabled individuals;
establishing the terms, conditions and duration of the credit; establishing a
procedure for applying for the credit; designating a certain County department
to administer the credit; and generally relating to a tax credit for real property
used as a therapeutic riding facility. [Section 20.124 of the Howard County Code - Added
Effective Date March 7, 2000]
Bill No. 57-1999 AN ACT altering the definition of "qualified homebuyer" under the Homeownership
Assistance Program to eliminate the requirement that an applicant under the
Program be a first-time homebuyer. [Section 13.900(h) of the Howard County Code - Amended
Effective Date March 6, 2000] Bill No. 58-1999 AN ACT adopting a certain Code as the electrical code for Howard County; providing
for the refund of certain fees under certain circumstances; altering the required
frequency of meetings of the Board of Electrical Examiners; and generally
relating to the Howard County Electrical Code and Electrical Regulations. [Sections 3.202(e), 3.214, and 3.215 of the Howard County Code - Amended
