Pensions - Death Benefits
FOR the purpose of expanding death benefits payable to the beneficiaries of certain
members of the retirement system; establishing criteria for the payment of
certain death benefits under the retirement system; providing for the payment
of death benefits to the surviving spouse and dependent children of deceased
members who failed to designate an eligible beneficiary; establishing eligible
beneficiaries; defining certain terms; and generally relating to death benefits for
qualified members of the retirement system.
