BALTIMORE COUNTY
[Effective Date September 13, 1999]
Bill No. 82-99 AN ACT concerning: County Boards and Commissions - Clarifying Legislation and Supplemental Code Revision FOR purpose of correcting and clarifying provisions about service on and the
activities of certain boards, commissions, committees, panels, and foundations;
authorizing the county administrative officer to remove certain members for
absence, incompetence, or misconduct, declare certain positions vacant, and
make a certain judgment about the absence of a member; providing for the
replacement of the chairperson of the commission on arts and sciences under
certain circumstances; authorizing the county administrative officer to remove a
member of the animal hearing board under certain circumstances; providing
that certain members of the electrical administrative board and the personnel
and salary advisory board are not required to be registered voters of the county;
clarifying that certain individuals appointed to the commission on aging and
commission on disabilities by members of the county council shall be residents of
certain councilmanic districts; clarifying that only voting members of the
commission for women may be officers of the commission; repealing a
requirement for the selection of committee members for the commission for
women by a supermajority; requiring members of the ethics commission to be
residents of the county; authorizing the county administrative officer county
council to remove certain members of the telecommunications advisory panel for
absence and make a certain judgment about the absence of a member; providing
that a majority of the telecommunications advisory panel is a quorum for the
transaction of business at panel meetings; providing for the continuity of terms
of certain officials and employees; making a section of this Act subject to a
certain contingency; making certain technical and stylistic changes; and
generally relating to the boards, commissions, committees, panels, and
foundations of the county BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments
