5-1103.
(a) All proposals for funding received under this subtitle designed to address
the prevention of child alcohol and drug abuse shall be reviewed by a selection
committee composed of the following members: (1) 2 persons designated by the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene,
of which 1 person shall have prior experience in local community alcohol and drug
abuse prevention programs; (2) 2 persons designated by the State Superintendent of Schools, of
which 1 person shall have prior experience in local community alcohol and drug abuse
prevention programs; [(3) the Chairman of the State Advisory Council on Alcohol and Drug
Abuse, or a designee of the Chairman from the Council;] and [(4)] (3) the Director of the Office for [Children and] CHILDREN, Youth,
AND FAMILIES who shall serve as chairman of the committee. DRAFTER'S NOTE: Error: Obsolete reference in § 5-1103(a)(3) of the Family Law Article;
incorrect nomenclature in § 5-1103(a)(4) of the Family Law Article. Occurred: As a result of Ch. 5, Acts of 1997; as a result of Ch. 419, Acts of
1990. 10-108.2. (a) In this [section] SECTION, "financial institution" means: (1) a depository institution, as defined in the Federal Deposit Insurance
Act at 12 U.S.C. § 1813(c); (2) a federal credit union or State credit union, as defined in the Federal
Credit Union Act at 12 U.S.C. § 1752; or (3) a benefit association, insurance company, safe deposit company,
money-market mutual fund, or similar entity doing business in the State that holds
property or maintains accounts reflecting property belonging to others. DRAFTER'S NOTE: Error: Omitted comma in § 10-108.2(a) of the Family Law Article. Occurred: Ch. 609, Acts of 1997.
