AN ORDINANCE concerning:
Public Safety - Parking Lots
FOR the purpose of prohibiting certain persons from towing or removing vehicles
from a parking lot unless certain signs have been placed in certain locations in
the parking lot; limiting certain charges for towing from parking lots without
the owner's consent; requiring certain authorization from owners of the parking
lot; limiting the distance that a vehicle may be towed; requiring certain notice to
the Police Department; prohibiting the use of "spotters"; prohibiting the
payment of remuneration to parking lot owners; providing that this Ordinance
does not apply to abandoned vehicles; setting certain penalties for violations;
providing that certain zoning requirements do not apply to required parking lot
signs; placing certain limits on certain parking lot signs; and generally relating
to nonconsensual towing from private parking lots.
