Occurred: Ch. 336, Acts of 1999. 5-501. (n) "Residential educational facility" means: (1) a facility that: (i) provides special education and related services for students
with disabilities; (ii) holds a certificate of approval issued by the State Board of Education; and (iii) provides continuous 24-hour care and supportive services to
children in a residential setting; or (2) [is] one of the following schools: (i) the Benedictine School; (ii) the Linwood School; (iii) the Maryland School for the Blind; [and] OR (iv) the Maryland School for the Deaf. DRAFTER'S NOTE: Error: Grammatical error and incorrect conjunction in § 5-501(n)(2) of
the Family Law Article.

(c) In consultation with local citizens review panels and the State Council on
Child Abuse and Neglect, the State Board shall develop protocols that govern the
scope of activities of local citizens review panels to reflect the provisions of the federal
Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (42 U.S.C. § 5101 et seq.). DRAFTER'S NOTE: Error: Extraneous period in § 5-539.1(c) of the Family Law Article. Occurred: Ch. 356, Acts of 1999. Correction by the publisher of the
Annotated Code in the 1999 Supplement of the Family Law Article is
validated by this Act.
