SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
3-801.
(a) In this subtitle, the following words have the meanings indicated, unless
the context of their use indicates otherwise.
(b) "Adjudicatory hearing" means a hearing to determine whether the
allegations in the petition, other than allegations that the child requires the court's
assistance, treatment, guidance or rehabilitation, are true.
(c) "Adult" means a person who is 18 years old or older.
(d) "Child" means a person under the age of 18 years.
(e) "Child in need of assistance" is a child who requires the assistance of the
