The Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr.
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis MD 21401
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 574 - State Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners - Sunset
Extension.
This bill extends the sunset date for the State Board of Podiatric Examiners from
July 1, 2002 to July 1, 2012.
House Bill 573, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on April
25, 2000, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
Senate Bill 574.
Sincerely,
Parris N. Glendening
Governor
Senate Bill No. 574

accordance with the provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (Sunset
Law) by extending to a certain date the termination provisions relating to the
statutory and regulatory authority of the Board; and generally relating to the
State Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
