SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000.
May 18, 2000
The Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr.
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis MD 21401
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 478 - Wicomico County - Alcoholic Beverages - Special Class C
License Fees.
This bill increases the daily fees for special Class C temporary licenses in Wicomico
County by $10. The fee for a special Class C beer license and beer and wine license is
increased to $30 per day, and the fee for a special Class C beer, wine, and liquor
license is increased to $45 per day.
House Bill 489, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May
11, 2000, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
Senate Bill 478.
Sincerely,
Parris N. Glendening
