State House
Annapolis MD 21401
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 364 - Tobacco Authority - Sunset Extension and Program
Evaluation.
This bill extends the sunset date for the Tobacco Authority. In addition the bill
requires the Tobacco Authority to issue an annual report to the General Assembly on
the status of tobacco growing in the State.
House Bill 353, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me today,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 364.
Sincerely,
Parris N. Glendening
Governor
Senate Bill No. 364

be performed on or before a certain date; requiring the Tobacco Authority to
issue a certain report to the General Assembly containing certain information by
a certain date annually; and generally relating to the Tobacco Authority.
