SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 7-316(m) and (n), respectively, of Article - State
Finance and Procurement of the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to be
Section(s) 7-316(n) and (o), respectively.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland

(A) IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.
(B) "APPLICATION SERVICE PROVIDER" MEANS THE AN ENTITY THAT
PROVIDES ACCESS TO OR DEPLOYMENT OF BUSINESS SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS
AND SERVICES OVER THE INTERNET.
(C) "ASP" MEANS APPLICATION SERVICE PROVIDER
(D) "BOARD" MEANS THE CEO BOARD OF ADVISORS FOR E-COMMERCE.
(E) "CONSORTIUM" MEANS THE "EMARYLAND" ASP CONSORTIUM.
(F) "E-COMMERCE" MEANS ELECTRONIC BUSINESS AND COMMERCE.

THE CEO BOARD OF ADVISORS FOR E-COMMERCE AND THE "EMARYLAND" ASP
CONSORTIUM ARE ESTABLISHED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE TO ASSIST IN THE STATE'S
EFFORTS TO CREATE THE MOST ADVANCED ELECTRONIC BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
IN THE NATION AND BECOME AN INTERNATIONAL LEADER IN THE DEPLOYMENT OF
