(3) ANY A DISABILITY ACCESS CARD THAT THE DIRECTOR ISSUES
ISSUED BY THE DIRECTOR MAY BE HELD IN PERPETUITY BY THE ORIGINAL CARD
HOLDER AND MAY IS NOT BE TRANSFERABLE TO ANY OTHER PERSON. (4) A PERSON AN INDIVIDUAL WHO LOSES HIS A DISABILITY ACCESS
CARD MAY OBTAIN ANOTHER DISABILITY ACCESS CARD FROM THE OFFICE UPON ON
PROVIDING THE SAME INFORMATION AS WAS REQUIRED FOR THE ISSUANCE OF THE
ORIGINAL CARD. (F) A CARD A DISABILITY ACCESS CARD HOLDER MAY NOT USE A DISABILITY
ACCESS CARD EXCEPT TO OBTAIN A BENEFIT TO WHICH THE HOLDER IS ENTITLED
UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF THE OFFER. (G) THE DIRECTOR SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT
THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2000. Approved April 25, 2000.
CHAPTER 31
(Senate Bill 52) AN ACT concerning Health Insurance - Dental Plan Organizations FOR the purpose of requiring dental plan organizations to meet certain capital and
surplus requirements; requiring dental plan organizations to deposit a certain
amount of security with the Maryland Insurance Commissioner or a certain
organization or trustee; specifying the purpose of the deposit requirement;
authorizing the Commissioner to reduce or eliminate the deposit requirement
under certain circumstances; authorizing the Commissioner to impose certain
penalties against dental plan organizations under certain circumstances;
authorizing the Commissioner to require dental plan organizations to make
restitution to a person who suffered financial injury; providing a certain
exception to certain requirements for certain dental plan organizations under
certain circumstances;
and generally relating to dental plan organizations,
capital and surplus requirements, and penalties. BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
