SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

In this subtitle, "entity" includes:

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2000.

CHAPTER 23
(Senate Bill 38)
AN ACT concerning
Child Support Enforcement - Conciliation Conferences
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Child Support Enforcement Privatization Pilot
Program and any demonstration site to conduct conciliation conferences;
authorizing a court to order parties in an action to enforce or modify a duty of
support to appear and produce documents at a conciliation conference conducted
by the Pilot Program or a demonstration site; authorizing a representative of the
Pilot Program or a demonstration site to apply to a court for a body attachment
if a party fails to appear or fails to produce documents at a conciliation
conference; authorizing a court to issue a body attachment or compel compliance
when if a party fails or refuses to appear or produce documents at a conciliation
conference; defining certain terms; and generally relating to conciliation
conferences conducted by the Pilot Program and demonstration sites.
