Ch. 687
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: ArticleNatural Resources 4-701. (h) (1) [The] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, THE Department shall issue a license authorizing participation in a
particular fishing activity to a person who has completed the requirements of an
apprenticeship
under § 4 701.1 of this subtitle. (2) THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ISSUE A LICENSE AUTHORIZING
PARTICIPATION IN A PARTICULAR FISHING ACTIVITY TO A PERSON WHO HAS
RECEIVED A PARDON AFTER BEING INCARCERATED FOR A CRIMINAL OFFENSE
WITHOUT REQUIRING COMPLETION OF THE REQUIREMENTS OF AN APPRENTICESHIP UNDER § 4-701.1 OF THIS SUBTITLE. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000
notwithstanding any provision of Title 4, Subtitle 7 of the Natural
Resources Article, the Department shall issue an authorization for any of the fishing
activities listed under § 4-701 of the Natural Resources Article to any person who has
received a pardon after being incarcerated for a criminal offense, and who makes
application and pays any applicable fees. Any authorization received by a person
under this section shall be renewable annually in the same manner as any other
authorization. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 2000. It shall remain effective for a period of 7 months and, at the end of
December 31, 2000, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act
shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect. Approved May 18, 2000.

(House Bill 1294) AN ACT concerning Real Property - Grants of Property - Business Trusts FOR the purpose of excluding certain business trusts from provisions of law providing
that a grant of property to a certain trust has the same effect as if the grantor
had granted the property to a certain trustee; and generally relating to a grant
of property to certain trusts. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
