SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Transportation
7-902.
(C) (1) IN THIS SUBSECTION, "BICYCLE" SHALL HAVE THE MEANING STATED
IN § 11-104 OF THIS ARTICLE.
(2) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (3) OF THIS SUBSECTION, THE
ADMINISTRATION SHALL PERMIT A PERSON TO TRANSPORT A BICYCLE ON
PASSENGER RAILROAD SERVICES.
(3) A PERSON MAY NOT TRANSPORT A BICYCLE ON PASSENGER
RAILROAD SERVICES DURING:
HOURS OF HIGH VOLUME PASSENGER TRAFFIC;
(II) A LEGAL HOLIDAY; OR
(III) A MAJOR SCHEDULED SPORTING EVENT THE ADMINISTRATION
SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS TO FACILITATE THE TRANSPORTATION OF BICYCLES
ON BOARD PASSENGER RAILROAD SERVICES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000.

FOR the purpose of increasing the bonding authority for the University System of
Maryland; approving certain projects for the acquisition, development, and

Maryland for financing the projects.
