Annotated Code of Maryland (1993 Replacement Volume and 1999 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article - Transportation 7-902. (C) (1) IN THIS SUBSECTION, "BICYCLE" SHALL HAVE THE MEANING STATED
IN
§ 11-104 OF THIS ARTICLE. (2) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (3) OF THIS SUBSECTION, THE
ADMINISTRATION SHALL PERMIT A PER
SON TO TRANSPORT A BICYCLE ON
PASSENGER RAILROAD SERVICE
S. (3) A PERSON MAY NOT TRANSPORT A BICYCLE ON PASSENGER
RAILROAD SERVICE
S DURING: HOURS OF HIGH VOLUME PASSENGER TRAFFIC; (II) A LEGAL HOLIDAY; OR (III) A MAJOR SCHEDULED SPORTING EVENT THE ADMINISTRATION
SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS TO FACILITATE THE TRANSPORTATION OF BICYCLES
ON BOARD PASSENGER RAILROAD SERVICES. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000. Approved May 18, 2000.
