SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act does not affect a
designation, change, or resignation of a resident agent or a change of address for a
resident agent that may be on file with the Department of Assessments and Taxation
on the effective date of this Act.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2001.

CHAPTER 609
(House Bill 490)
AN ACT concerning
Wicomico County - Appearance Fees - Court Library
FOR the purpose of altering provisions of law concerning the use of certain
appearance fees by the Wicomico County Court Library collected by the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Wicomico County; requiring the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Wicomico County to make a deposit of appearance fees not less than
monthly; altering the title of a certain account for appearance fees; repealing
provisions of law limiting the use of the account to purchasing and maintaining
legal publications under certain circumstances; requiring that the account is for
the general use of the library and for the maintenance and improvement of the
court's facilities and equipment and that funds in the account be disbursed on
approval of the County Administrative Judge; and generally relating to the use
of appearance fees by the Wicomico County Court Library collected by the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Wicomico County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
7-204.
(v) (1) The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Wicomico County shall deposit NOT
LESS THAN MONTHLY all appearance fees collected by the Clerk under this section
into a special account TO BE known as ["Bar Library Account"] THE "COURT AND BAR
LIBRARY ACCOUNT".
