Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
19-301.
(a) (1) This definition applies only in the following jurisdictions:
(i) CAROLINE COUNTY;
(II) Carroll County;
[(ii)] (III) Dorchester County;
[(iii)] (IV) Harford County; and
[(iv)] (V) Montgomery County.
(2) In this section "unless authorized" means the possession and
presentation of a written consent by the owner of the property.
(b) A person may not possess in an open container any alcoholic beverage, as
defined in this article, while:
(1) On the mall, adjacent parking area, or other outside area of any
combination of privately owned retail establishments, commonly known as a shopping
center, to which the general public is invited for business purposes, unless authorized
by the owner of the establishment;
(2) On an adjacent parking area or other outside area of any other retail
establishment, unless authorized by the owner of the establishment; or
(3) In any parked vehicle located on any of the places enumerated in this
section, unless authorized.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000.

(Senate Bill 470)
AN ACT concerning
Creation of a State Debt - Dorchester County - Meredith House
FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt not to exceed $159,000
$100,000, the proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board of Trustees of the
Dorchester County Historical Society, Inc. for certain development or
improvement purposes; providing for disbursement of the loan proceeds, subject
to a requirement that the grantee provide and expend a matching fund;
requiring the grantee to convey a historic easement to the Maryland Historical
